Training, Windows 7, XP, Vista, Mac OS X Leopard, Linux

Computer Training for XP, Vista, Mac OS X Leopard, Linux

An important part of our computer repair service philosophy is computer training and education. We offer computer training on a number of different operating systems including Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows XP and XP Pro, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, and Linux. If you have a particular training request, just let us know and we can put together a course specific to your individual needs. Whatever training you may need need, we can help. We can deliver it "one on one" or for groups, such as seniors.

In addition to walking you through the lesson in detail, we will also provide you with written documentation which includes screen shots of each step of the process. This way you have something to refer back to if you need it at a later date. At Altitude Data, we believe that offering education, when needed, is a necessary part of computer service and repair. For information about group training and senior discounts contact us for a free consultation.

Windows 7, XP, and Vista Training

Recently upgrade from Vista or XP to Windows 7? Altitude Data can help. We offer onsite, hands-on training at any level. Whether you are an advanced, intermediate, or new user, we can design a class for you. Everything from learning basic computer terminology, mouse usage, working with files, email, and browsing the internet, to file sharing, network configuration and management, network security countermeasures and threat assessment, to VPN's. We have years of experience with Windows operating systems going all the way back to Windows 3.1. Just tell us what you would like to learn and let us develop a course specifically for you.

Mac OS X, and Linux Training

Our resident web architect recently started offering Mac OS X training. He has used mainly Linux and Unix operating systems since 1995 and switched to Mac with the release of OS X Leopard. Leopard uses a fully Unix kernel and allows you to run a lot of native Linux programs. You can also install VMWare Fusion to create any number of virtual machines (Guest OS's) you desire. They can all be ran simultaneously along with OS X. For example, he has Windows XP, Fedora 11 Linux, and Solaris 10 operating systems currently installed and is getting ready to install Windows 7 shortly.

If you are new to Mac, or have recently switched from Windows to Mac, or are a seasoned Mac user that wishes to learn more about virtual machines and their benefits, contact us and we can design a course that addresses your specific needs.
